Yes, i AM this good.




Just recently gotten 100% on project nexus ONE!

i guess that makes me the only madness animator to accomplish such a feat, BUT ALAS.

it's done. and the hardest medal to get was beating the Nexus HQ on Hard, fuck that.

So while on this topic i decided to do a little review on the game.

overall it is a pretty awesome game; but it does have it's fair share of faults


-------------------------------------------------------------------- STORY --------------------------------------------------------------------

So the basic jist of the game is taking down the "Nexus" project, which is essentially a training / cloning facility centered in nevada; most likely in control of the auditor, and while on this adventure you can play as either hank,        sanford, or even deimos. And jebus to (which he's in the expansion.) Overall there's 8 main locations to conqour / destroy, a jail, an armory, a recon hut, a stronghold, a com-tower, barracks, a bar, and finally the Nexus HQ itself.

while most of these locations fare some pretty nice detail & amazing music, they can be a bit repetitive, it's mainly go inside, kill everyone, flip some switches / doors here and there, and escape, which is all fine and dandy but there should be a bit more variation in regards to it, most of the levels have a certain maze like concept to them; you're more then likely to get lost from either back tracking or revisting the same room where you killed a buncha guys in.

it also kinda doesn't help that most of the enviroments just look the same; long corridors with the occasional AC Units, Pipes, Boxes, etc. there really isn't that much of variation put into them; which is understandable if flash can't handel big amounts of detail on screen; such as the MASSIVE amounts of shell casings and bodies on the floor but these seemed like things that could've been ironed out a bit better, instead; have the shell casings on the floor dissappear after an arbituary amount of time; same with the bodies aswell, it's not the most practical or realistic of effects, but people will understand why the games ' programming is like that and to not slow PC's down; while also retaining the anti-aliased high quality graphics.

Gameplay itself is pretty standard you get gunz, specials, teammates, and even arena modes, but how do they fair up? Let's find out. for starters; most of the weaponry do have some nice kick to em, pistols; submachine guns; assault rifles; all feel pretty satisfying to use, but the weapons that DO dock the game a few points is the melee weapons and shotguns.

Melee weapons just seem to work by consistently clicking the left mouse button until the enemy your trying to kill just decides to fall over from noticing how many swings you're exhausting trying to hit them, there should instead be a feature that allows the player to sort of amplify the force of the melee weapon & it's impact, maybe hold down the left click button for longated swings and fast left clicking for quick hits; or something along the lines of that, they need some slight tweeking.

Now the SHOTGUNS, are probably the worst weapons to use in the game, they take the longest to reload (which is understandable; giving the ammo put into them) their range is just RANDOM, and the crosshair for them is just terrible.

------------------------------------------ SPECIALS / TEAMMATES / ARENA MODE-------------------------------------------------

Bullet time is also sort of a useful feature, as it'll be saving your ass time and time again in the harder sections of the game, (especially the Nexus HQ on hard, that was a life saver.) but it gets a little clunky to use once the LAG starts to kick in, you'll be pressing the shift button so fast to turn bullet time off that by the time it IS off, you're already dead because of the atrocious lag. but aside from that; it's pretty useful and kind of a cool effect to see

Teammates are also a massive issue with this game, as cool as hank; sanford; and deimos are. in the story mode.. it's tough to say.. but they're dumb as dogshit. most of the time they spent is looking AT the enemy; rather then KILLING them, getting stuck on walls or props, or being overal annoyances. i'm not sure if swain was going through a rough time when coding spank; sanfuck, and dickimos or what but they're fucking IDIOTS. SERIOUSLY WORK ON THIS FOR NEXUS 2.




These cats piss on hank, sanford, AND deimos, You know how in dead rising you had vehicles to help you get the genocider achievement? well these guys ' ARE those vehicles, they ran over everyone and everything. and i'm glad none of them died in the process. Fuck yeah, now THAT'S how you code Teammate A.I for Arena Mode, Nice job Mikhail The Swine!

------------------------------------------------ ARENA MODE-------------------------------------------------

Cruisin through here; we got arena mode, kill everyone and everything with no conscience, pretty fun; but i'd say add a few more levels to the arena itself, getting 53,594 kills in the same looking area can be a little uh.... boring. but aside from that, nice job on the arena. Kudos on the variety of music to!

Zombie Survival isn't to bad neither, although i'd maybe turn the damage paramaters for them down a bit, i WAS planning on doing the genocider achievement the dead rising way (killing nothing but zombies) but that was even MORE tedious and a pain in the ass, as you consistently jumping from the left side of the room to the right trying to dodge these bastards so they don't leap onto ya, and once they get ahold of ya ' there's no getting em off, especially for your A.I Teammates, play with THEM on this game mode and you might aswell put their names on tomb stones, cause they're not gonna last. not at all.

* Add more variety to the enviroments

*Add more complex, but simple & fun objectives and possibly side quests

*Fix the Teammate A.I, atleast for story mode

*Fix the shotguns, if that's possible Lol

*REMOVE...... REMOVE, the zombie genocider achievement IDEA... CONCEPT, or even if it's already in nexus 2,

It's lazy, unoriginal, and down right tedious, be more original guys.

*Release Nexus 2.
